What comes to mind when you think of festival season? Muddy fields? Warm beer? Loads of live music? Festival season gets bigger and better every single year, with more events popping up that cater to different tastes.

Whether you like to go to an epic five-dayer like Glastonbury or you’re more suited to a one-day festival in a sunny London park, the outcome will be the same: you’ll have had a great time, but will undoubtedly spend the next week feeling a little bit worse for wear.

Believe us when we say that your festival experience will be worth feeling under the weather for a bit, and fortunately, there are a few things that you can do to make those post-festival blues go away faster than they would do on their own.

stay hydrated

So you’ve probably just spent the last few days drinking your bodyweight in cider and dancing your way around a field (if you were lucky, you might have even had some nice weather too). Anyway, it’s safe to say that you’re going to be pretty dehydrated. When your body is low on H₂O, you might feel tired or sluggish and even experience headaches.

So if you want to avoid those nasty headaches and feel awake and energised (especially if you have to go back to work), make sure that you drink plenty of water. It won’t be long before those hydration levels come back up and you’ll start to feel normal once again.

Pssstt... our cold brew teas are the perfect way to pep up your water and stay hydrated - simply pop a temple in a cup or water bottle and hey presto, you're good to go!

eat proper food

When you’re fresh out of a festival, you’re probably going to have the mother of all hangovers – think your usual sore head times 10! When they’re feeling a bit rough, most people have go-to greasy meals that keep their hungover bodies satisfied. The only problem with this is that unhealthy foods don’t actually help your body to get over all the excess, so the best way to fast-track your recovery is to give yourself plenty of proper nutritious foods.

Teetotal…or tea total, if you will.

It's safe to assume you might want to avoid alcohol following a festival (for a few days at least) – so why not switch to herbal teas!? They’ll help keep you refreshed and hydrated (although, don’t forget the litre of water too!) and are fab for creating mocktails when you want a fun summer drink, minus the voddy.

get some rest

The big one - SLEEP!

Depending on the festival you went to, you’ve probably spent the last few nights up late enjoying the various forms of entertainment on offer. Once you’re back from your event-filled weekend away, the best thing to do is to sleep it off.

It can be a bit of a weird feeling going straight from a loud and busy environment to a quiet and peaceful one, so you need to give your body a chance to adjust. If your mind is still in festival mode and you need a hand at falling asleep, there are a few things that you can try. You can have a go at different breathing techniques, you can listen to soothing music, or you can cut out all the hassle and drink a cup of snooze tea, where calming ingredients like lavender and chamomile help you to drift off into a natural sleep.
