Monday morning’s tea school was a bittersweet affair this week; it was another great opportunity to meet with some of the lovely teapigs stockists that we have who sell an amazing range of our teas, and teach them everything they need to know to ensure they are all serving you the perfect cuppa! A sad one for me however as it’ll be the last tea school that I run, as Louise is all set to become the new teapigs headmistress, whilst I’m going to be sadly leaving teapigs!
The venue for the our tea school this time was of particular interest, as we learnt all about the fabulous work of Toynbee Hall, set right in the heart of East London. Since Victorian times, Toynbee Hall has been an organisation set up to help reduce poverty and disadvantage within the East End. Projects that they run include courses to help with debt management, community centres, legal advice and much more available to anyone in the area in need of help.
With Tower Hamlets being one of the most deprived areas of London, even with the inclusion of Canary Wharf within the borough, it’s brilliant that alongside teaching our stockists all about our teas we’re able to help with the brilliant work that the people based at Toynbee Hall do!
