What a year 2020 has been so far - we're losing track of days, baking enough banana bread to feed a family of 10, and slipping and sliding across the living room floor trying to keep up with PE with Joe.
Like everyone else on the planet, we’ve been trying our best to give back to the wonderful people working on the front line, and have spent the past month getting tea into the hands of NHS staff. We’ve been overwhelmed with requests and love how many of you have been in touch asking for help with care packages.
We plan to make this a focus for us over the next few months, and wanted to share how we’ll be managing NHS and key worker requests going forward. You may have seen we recently launched a nominate a hero campaign, whereby you could nominate a key worker to receive a case of tea – again, slightly overwhelmed with the response.
Reading through the nominations was…an experience. Things got emosh, and teapig Leonie quickly realised 30 cases wasn’t enough, so we upped our send outs to 50 for the first round (if we could send to everyone, we would have!). Having read so many heart-warming stories, we felt like keeping this nomination form open was the fairest way for us to manage our send outs going forward, and allow us to send tea to people working in all kinds of roles.
Each month we will choose 50 people from the list, and send a case of tea to their chosen person. If you’ve already nominated, but weren’t chosen this time round, no need to fill in the form again, as we will merge everything together.
Head this way to get your nomination in!
