Now that it pretty much feels like the depths of winter here in Brentford and Christmas is just around the corner, we’ve been turning our attention to yummy warming tea based tipples.
Firstly, a hot spiced winter punch - Whip this one up at your forthcoming festive parties!
Hot spiced winter punch (serves 2)
In a saucepan, boil up 100ml of water with 2 spiced winter tea temples, brew for 3-5 minutes
pour in 100ml of fruit juice such as orange or pineapple, and 150 ml of ginger beer
add 100ml of spiced dark rum
simmer the mixture for 5 minutes, try not to boil
garnish with orange and sliced ginger – and enjoy!
Baileys and chai, what a dreamy combination…this iced chai latte is surprisingly warming!
Baileys iced chai latte (serves 1)
pop 1 chai tea temple into a mug or latte glass
just cover the tea temple with boiling water (only an inch)
leave to brew for 3-5 minutes
